Design :
Air intake on the sides and rear wing painted as the rest of the car are the main differences between the Exige S and the standard Exige. The lines of the second generation of Elise have been kept.
Probably the most demonstrative car at this level of price.

Interior :
They say "light is right" and this is particularly visible inside the vehicle.
To remain under 1 thousand kilos "barrier", the interior is as simple as possible.
Even the presence of a stereo is surprising!
Unfortunately the overall feel is quite bland but the fun part is just a few centimetres ahead.

On the road :
0-100kmh (0-62mph) in 4.3 seconds, that is as good as Porsche 911 GT3.
Unfortunately, the small displacement of the engine can't provide as much torque and the car suffers from a bit too much oversteer.
The overall handling is absolutely astonishing nonetheless and is particularly well adapted to track use.

Final words :
The Lotus Exige S is a race car with license plates and turn signals that you can take on any road. Made with racing performance in mind, its is not really the perfect daily due to rock solid suspensions but it represents the perfect compromise between road and track.
