Fendi Selleria 2013 Bag Collection

Fendi's new Selleria line presents eight new models - of which six carries the name Adele and five of the Fendi sisters.

Four bags are historic models stylistically revisited: ADELE 1328, PAOLA 1192/1128, FRANCA 2176/2058/1892, CARLA 650; two models are new: ANNA 1322, ALDA 326; and two are FENDI icons: Baguette 635 and Peekaboo 1584/1522.

The Cerebral Hut is an installation by Turkish architect Guvenc Ozel. The hut will expand and contract on command all by brainwaves.

The script in the installation turns the brain activity of the user into motion cues for the panels. Standing beneath the curved half-wall, visitors could control the size of the panels and the pace of their deformation simply by concentrating and blinking.

Designer Uses Sand To Power A Light Bulb

Designer Danielle Trofe is trying to make LED lightbulbs emit light without connecting it to the grid. Trofe created two designs for this month's Wanted Design 2013.

Both the designs are hourglass and they use kinetic energy of falling sand to power the light bulb. One model is a torch/flashlight type, and the other is a flippable stool. Check it out. [Inhabitat]
