Those of you who stumbled on the following meme below might seem a bit perplex over what this "Facebook Rain Dance" meme is all about. And the explanation is just as ridiculous as you might expect.

According to Gawker, some Facebook users in America have banded together to seek solace from the epic drought and heat wave that's currently sweeping across the US. Their solution: Share stupid memes to summon the rain. One instance of the meme has been shared more than 2,500 times.

And apparently, this isn't the only attempt at using Facebook to control the weather. Agroup of Oklahomans led by ordained minister Leslie Draper have organized a Facebook group called "Prayers and Gratitude for Cooler Temperatures and Rain in Oklahoma." The Norman Transcript claims it did get cooler and rainier soon after the group formed, which is supposedly proof that memes are indeed a powerful weather control apparatus.
