Who doesn't love strawberries? Not only are they seriously sweet, a new study printed in the Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry says strawberries help protect skin cells from UVA damage.
This was discovered after researchers added strawberry extract to skin cell cultures before exposing those cultures to 90 minutes of blazing midday summer sunshine. They found that adding the berries somehow decreased DNA damage.
They haven't done any testing on actual live humans yet, so you might want to rethink before deciding to go sunbathing with pulverized strawberries slathered all over your skin.
