This super-sweet toddler named Emma was born with a congenital disorder called arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, a condition wherein multiple joints in the body are fixed, limiting one’s movement. Basically, that means Emma lacks the muscle strength to lift her arms by herself.

But with the help of 3D printing, Emma was fitted with her own robot exoskeleton to help improve her quality of life. Based on the Wilmingtong Robotic Exoskeleton (WREX), Emma's was designed using inexpensive, lightweight plastic, which makes replacing the fitting easier as she grows bigger.
