It's not just the loan sharks you have to worry about owning money to. Malaysia's Bernama reports of a 44-year-old woman who was detained on Saturday after she threw a makeshift bomb at someone's home which ended up killing a puppy.

According to South Seberang Prai police chief Supt Shafien Mamat, forensic investigations revealed that the makeshift explosive was actually constructed from a large number of firecrackers known as 'mercun bola,' which are popular for producing sparks and a very loud sound:

“The incident took place at 3.30am when the 46-year-old victim was asleep. The victim said the explosion was very loud.
“The explosion killed a puppy which was outside the house,” he said here today.
“Before throwing the firecrackers, the woman also threatened to hurt the victim,” he said.
Apparently, the attack was over an unpaid debt amounting to RM6,000. The woman was detained at 10am the same day at her house. “The explosion killed a puppy which was outside the house,” he said here today.
