The announcement of Marissa Meyer's pregnancy has got everyone talking about the new young CEO of Yahoo. Some of you might think of her as just another tech geek, but here's a closer look at her fabulous life:
Besides being smart and business savvy, she's also a trained classical ballerina. She picked up the hobby as a child
and by junior high was practicing 35 hours a week. She also frequently enjoys skiing in Vail with her husband, a subject she frequently brings up on Twitter.
Her husband, Zack Bogue, is a total package. He's a lawyer, athlete, investment manager and philanthropist. They were married in 2009, and the bride wore a Reem Acra-designed gown. Highlights included a performance by The Killers and a "feast of lobster and caramelized beef." Ron Ben-Israel, tthe host of Food Network's "Sweet Genius", is said to have designed her wedding cake.
This is her main residence, the penthouse on San Francisco's Four
Seasons. Her apartment is decorated with whimsical glass artwork by Dale Chihuly, whose pieces sell for an average of $15,000 each. She also has a house in Palo Alto for late nights at the
Mayer's personal style is admired worldwide. She's known to wear Carolina Herrera to the office and even Vogue raves over her shoe collection. She has a personal shopper at Bergdorf Goodman who makes sure she stays fashionable by buying new collections twice a year. She's also been spotted wearing a $20,000 gold face by Omega De Ville
and carries a black Chanel bag (which retails upwards of $4,000).
Oscar De La Renta, who has outfitted Eva Longoria and Cameron Diaz, told Vogue that Mayer was "one of my biggest customers." She even bought 20 of his cashmere cardigans (seen above) for her friends (which cost about $2700 each).
Mayer's trendy bob is maintained at the high-end salon Secret Agent on Saturdays at 9 a.m. She enjoys getting highlights, a haircut or a manicure.
She's also political. Back in 2010, Mayer hosted a fundraiser at her home in which President Obama spoke. Admission was said to have been $30,000 a plate.
But despite all that success and wealth, Mayer will never forgo her love for McDonald's. Earlier this year, she tweeted her excitement about the Shamrock Shake.
