You know that saying "Behind every great man is a great woman?" Well, judging by the recent IQ test scores, women are no longer keeping quiet about how smart they really are.

The Telegraph reports that after 100 years of IQ testing, women are now scoring much higher than men on IQ tests. But before you label this recent IQ score reversal on a fluke or something, IQ testmaster James Flynn believes this might be the result of modernity. He explains: "The complexity of the modern world is making our brains adapt and raising our IQ."

There are couple of other theories too, like women being conditioned this way since they had to balance raising families with career ambitions. Another theory believes that women had a greater IQ potential all along and that only recently had better access to more and varied outlets for their latent intelligence. Of course, IQ isn't everything but at least this study shows that women are no longer taking a backseat when it comes to being smart.
