Now that TomKat have finally called it quits, what's next for Hollywood's former golden couple? According to the latest statistics in the Census, while things aren't looking too bright in the romance department for guys like Tom Cruise, while there's still a chance for ladies like Katie Holmes to find everlasting love.



According to the most recent (2009) Census figures, divorce rates in the US are actually falling, particularly among well-educated and wealthy Americans who marry shortly after their 26th birthdays.

For men in Tom Cruise's demographic (white 40-somethings), 39% of them will divorce with half of these dudes remarrying; with 12% of those newly remarried dudes being likely to divorce again. The Census also show that only about 3.4% of white, male 40-somethings have been married three or more times, and only about 0.9% of these guys were divorced. So seeing as this is Cruise's third marriage, his chances of relationship success are pretty much slim, and any relationship from hereon will also likely end in divorce.

As for Katie Holmes, about 17% of women in her demographic have been divorced, with only about 9% of those women have been twice-married; almost eight% of those second marriages are likely to remain intact. Seeing this is her first marriage, chances are good that Katie Holmes will end up happily settling down with somebody are much higher. So in your face Cruise!
