Barely a day after that clip featuring a bunch of teens bullying an old lady on the bus went viral, the internet has already taken action by raising close to $400K and exposing the perpetrators. And now the victim, 69-year-old Karen Huff Klein, has spoken out publicly about the incident.
In this interview with the Democrat and Chronicle, Karen says that she didn't really hear all the hateful things hurled her way because her hearing's impaired, but she heard it all when she watched the clips. The hardest thing to hear was when one of the kids said that her children should kill themselves, because her own son took his life 10 years ago.
In an interview with the Today Show, Karen says she has worked for the district for over 20 years and has been a bus monitor for 3. She also plans to continue to work in the school system, because she says not all kids are evil. She also is grateful for all the support and well wishes she's received from the Internet community.
As for the evil little buggers behind the video, the Greece Police Department opened up their own investigation and questioned several of the students. A couple of internet vigilantes are also helping to track the kids down. We can only imagine what would happen once their identities get revealed.
So remember this post kiddies the next time you plan on picking on some helpless old lady on the bus, you might live to regret it because there are a lot of angry people on the internet just waiting to pick on you.
