Aelta Andre is an Australian abstract artist best known for her Surrealist painting style and being compared to the likes of Jackson Pollock. Did we mention she's only 5-years-old?

The Melbourne-based toddler held her first exhibition at the tender age of 22 months. According to her proud parents who are also artists, she began painting after her father placed a canvas on the floor. Her paintings are colorful and vivacious, created mainly by splattering paint on canvas and occasionally, toys like plastic dinosaurs, butterflies and penguins. Andre also has other talents like being able to speak both Russian and English (why do I feel so inadequate all of the sudden?) Here's a film highlighting the abstract child painter:
Now, at the ripe old age of five, Andre is presenting her Abstract Expressionist-influenced work at her second solo show at Agora Gallery in New York. According to her website, the show is entitled "Aelita Andre: Secret Universe," and will be up until until July 3. And if you think this is mere childs play, Andre's paintings are also for sale on Art-Mine.com, and are priced around $5,500 each.
