Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," has become a viral hit, officially knocking Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" off the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The "Call Me Maybe" phenomenon began in February, when Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez, and a couple of their famous friends recorded a lip-sync video to Jepsen's pop song. Thanks to Bieber and Gomez endorsing the tune on YouTube and on their their Twitter accounts, the bubblegummy song became an overnight internet sensation.
