Thanks to that controversial TIME magazine cover, attachment parenting is now on everyone's mind, including Alanis Morissette. The singer says she still breastfeeds her 16-month-old son Ever and won't stop until "he weans off it" (which could very well mean forever.) And according to NYDN, the reason she's doing this is to save up on therapy bills later:
I think it afford the child, when he grows up, to have a lot less therapy to go to. For me, I protect his safety and his well-being and his attachment. That stage of development is a very important stage.
We're not sure if child therapists would recommend this method. But seriously, if you're kid's old enough to chat to you about it, then we're pretty they're old enough to handle real food.
