High school can be such a mean place, even when you've already graduated. Just ask Dominic Sheahan-Stahl:
The video which posted on Youtube this week was a response to his high school's decision to cancel his scheduled keynote speech at his brother’s upcoming high school commencement. Apparently, it's because they just found out about his gay status.
A third-generation graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Michigan, Dominic says he’s been out for the last 14 years. It was when he posted his engagement pictures on Facebook the school found and decided to cancel his appearance at the last minute. The officials at the school even told him that if he hadn’t overshared on Facebook, there wouldn’t have been a problem.
“I’m not trying to post all the blame on Sacred Heart Academy,” Dominic says. “They just picked the wrong person to do this to. Discrimination is wrong, and you cannot do this.”
