The Daily shares this inspirational story about teenager Maggie Meier, who went
into a coma after suffering a seizure in 2008. Prior to the incident,
Meier had been playing basketball for years and somehow was still able
to shoot a beach ball through a hoop despite being in a coma.

For the two-and-a-half months she was in the coma, Meier's family would move her into a chair and give her a beach ball to shoot through a makeshift hoop. She would practice for several minutes before returning to her comatose state. Doctors believe that the motion of shooting a basket was so deeply ingrained in her that she was able to do it without thinking.
Now nearly fully recovered, Meier says she has absolutely no memory of playing.
