We were wondering when Jessica Simpson would finally burst her bubble (or embryonic sac, whatever) because it seems like she's been pregnant forever!

The singer had speculated early on that it was a girl, and it looks like her mother's intuition might have been right. Both Jess and her mom were recently spotted at a Los Angeles baby boutique, and a source tells PEOPLE said that she was picking out an awful lot of pink stuff:
"Jessica and her mom [Tina Simpson] and spent over an hour at the store," the observer tells PEOPLE. "She took her time picking out the perfect baby items.

Among the selection made by Simpson, whose new NBC show, Fashion Star, premieres March 13? Pink baby clothes, a Moses basket, and, the source adds, "other adorable baby items."

"She seems beyond happy about becoming a mom," the observer said. "She says she can't wait to meet the baby."
So the only possible explanation is that she's having a girl or she's about to deliver Pink Panther. We'll still have to wait until she finally gives birth, which could be in a matter of weeks.
