LIVING - LIFESTYLE

It seems to be what sells nowadays: female journalists writing about their depressing and ultimately unsuccessful battles with various forms of self-loathing, Jezebel points out.
More often that not, we see articles about some journalists battle and obsession with anorexia, weight, breasts, aeging, food, alcohols, relationships and the like. They all always end up unhappy anyway.
It seems like this new fad is putting out the stereotype that women don't like themselves - which is true for some, but surely not everybody is obsessed with weight. But it gives people - other men and women - this view of women, always complaining about themselves.
It doesn't make their readers any happier either, and perhaps these journalists should be seeing a therapist instead of venting out years of self-hate to the public.
