Footballer Christiano Ronaldo smashed a car window as he lashed out at a teenage girl videoing him in the street.

He kicked the window, causing the 17-year-old student Sara Pardal some minor scratches. She was treated in hospital for her supposed injuries and later reported the attack to the police.

The teenager claimed she was sitting in a car outside Ronaldo's Losbon apartment because she was a fan and wanted an autograph.

Hwoever, Ronaldo insisted the girl was working with a paparazzi photographer - and got pissed off when his mother begin to get the jitters. He accused the teen of exaggerating her injuries.

"I regret what I did, but i can't promise that I would not react in the same way again in the same circumstances," the former Manchester United star said.

Ronaldo, who was going to an Elton John concert with his mum, sisters and friends, claims Pardal was with a photographer who had been stalking him. He claims the photographer and the girl followed him to his house from the Ritz Hotel.

When he spotted Pardal filming him, he lashed out in rage and kicked her car. Ronaldo said: "When I'm on my own, fine, I try to swallow it and remain indifferent. But when my mother is involved, then I'm sorry but I don't let anyone, I repeat anyone, harass her."
