We always see celebrities with words imprinted on their skin, but we never actually get to read them - or if we do, we don't know how they came up with such a quote.
Well, now we take a look at some wordy celebrity tattoos:

Evan Rachel Wood

The tattoo smiling between the starlet's shoulder blades is a quote by Edgar Allan Poe.

Angeline Jolie

One of the actress' many tattoos say: "Know You Rights", which is the name of a Clash song. But it's probably got something to do with Jolie's humanitarian work.

Hayden Panettiere

Running down Hayden Panettiere's left side is a tattoo that reads "Viviere senza rimipianti," which is meant to mean "to live without regrets" in Italian. Unfortunately, it's mispelled: the last word is supposed to have one less i and read "rimpiani".

Justin Gaston

Male model Justin Gaston got this tattoo on his wrist shortly after he and Miley Cyrus broke up. "It stands for Psalm 150 because it's the last psalm. Get it?" he tweeted.

Megan Fox

The wordings on Megan Fox's shoulder blade seems to be something out of a Shakespeare quote. The King Lear passage originally reads, "so we'll live/And pray, and sing, and tell old tales, and laugh/At gilded butterflies."

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan's forearm is decorated with coloured sunbursts surrounding a Marilyn Monroe quote: "Stars, all we ask for is our right to twinkle."

Lily Allen

The singer has a "shhh..." tattooed on her index finger earlier this year. Oh, Lindsay Lohan and Rihanna have the exact same one too, but Rihanna got it first.

Rumer Willis

Rumer Wilis' tattoo says "be present".. and a sexy dress to show it off.
