Oprah just discovered that Rihanna is nothing like how she portrays herself on videos and in her music. In her upcoming "Next Chapter" interview with Rihanna in Barbados, Oprah says:
“So I just came back from Barbados with Rihanna. I went there with my own ideas about who she was, watching the videos and listening to the music. I thought she was going to be kind of a bad-ass, kind of a hard-edged rocker, pop woman. Nothing could have been farther from the truth. This is who she was for me and our cameras and wanted to present herself. She was thoughtful. She was very emotional. She was vulnerable. She pushes the edge. She pushes the edge a lot and there’s a reason for that.

“And I came away really getting a great sense of who she was after we got in her car and drove back to her old neighborhood. First of all I was surprised she was such a good driver. And this is how you know who somebody is: how people react to them. And when we went back to the neighborhood, this reaction surprised me. Because it wasn’t like a big superstar, mega-star, popstar had arrived in the neighborhood. It was just ‘Robyn’ as though she’d gone to the grocery store and came back. It was great. It was great to see. I hope you’ll join me for a really, really get down conversation with Rihanna, August 19th. It’s good.”
We don't think there would be anything too life-changing about Rihanna's interview, but the starlet does give good interviews. And if you're grounding yourself and stripping away layers of celebrity attitude to take Oprah around your hometown, it's worth a watch. Trailer below:
