Singaporean artist Izziyana Suhaimi's work is unconventional as it is visually enticing. She embroiders to pinpoint perfection, and mixes elements like watercolor, pencil, plenty of thread and a mind full of imagination in a piece of work.

Izziyana first stumbled upon this hybrid technique while working on a school project on medical illustrations. Her interest in embroidery fueled her creativity and she began to include the craft into most of her work.

“I don’t think modern art should be a certain way. The beauty of art is in its variety and diversity,” Izziyana said in a recent interview. “In everything and not just art, boundaries are getting blurred and limitations are being pushed.”
